Records include contracts of apprenticeship, both formal and informal, which can include name of master and apprentice, trade to be taught, details of contract, amount of master's bond, and name of sureties. Other papers may include petitions for apprenticeship, petitions for "freedom dues" upon the completion of an apprenticeship, and civil and criminal actions concerning masters or wards.
