General Assembly Session Records

$0.00

Bills and resolutions passed and failed, petitions, committee reports, messages from the governor, legislative messages, tally sheets, election certificates, resignations, and other material related to the work of each session of the General Assembly. In the twentieth century, this series gradually becomes only the passed and failed bills and resolutions. The last petitions to be included in this series are in 1929, except for one in 1949. Committee reports become rare and are no longer included at all after 1935. After 1979 the failed bills are retained by the clerk of each house and become separate series, the Failed to Pass Bill File (House) and the Bills, Resolutions Not Enrolled File (Senate).

General Assembly Session Records up to 1816 are available for free in the Digital Collections.
