The World War I Service Card files consist of military service information for officers, enlisted men, and nurses in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard who served during World War I. The information includes name, serial number, race, address, date and place of induction into service, engagements, wounds, overseas duty, date of discharge, and percentage of disability if wounded. Some of the cards have additional information on the back of the cards. These cards were prepared after the war by the United States War Department for use by the North Carolina Adjutant General.

World War I Service Cards may also be available on third party websites, such as FamilySearch.org (free with an account). Other World War I materials are also available here.
